Qualities of Licensed staff

In order to obtain a Front Line Security Industry Licence, you will have to satisfy a number of conditions. The application information sets out what is required, but below is an overview of what each candidate must comply with before being granted a licence.

 

  1.      You must be 18 years or over

  2.      You must pass an identity check

  3.      You must pass a criminal record check (some offences prevent a licence being issued)

  4.      You must achieve the appropriate SIA training for your discipline

 

A non-front line licence does not require the training aspect of this criteria.

 

As well as the above conditions, the SIA may take into account other information in respect of the following;

 

·         Mental Health

·         Non Conviction Information

·         Fixed Penalty Notices

·         The right to work in the UK
